ΛΗΞΗ ΔΙΕΤΟΥΣ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ COMENIUS
Αν δώσεις....
Αν δώσεις ένα ψάρι σ' εναν άνθρωπο,
θα φάει μια φορά.

θα τρώει σ' όλη του τη ζωή.
Κουάνγκ-Τσέου 40ς-30ς αι. Κίνα
Στις 30 Ιουλίου 2009 ολοκληρώνεται με επιτυχία το Ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα Comenius, στο οποίο συμμετείχε το Γυμνάσιο Περάματος Ιωαννίνων, για δυο συνεχόμενα χρόνια, σε συνεργαίια με σχολεία της Γερμανίας, Γροιλανδίας, Ισπανίας και Τουρκίας.
Το πρόγραμμα Comenius είναι ένα πρόγραμμα δράσης που εφαρμόζεται από την Ευρωπαϊκή Κοινότητα στον τομέα της εκπαίδευσης και ενθαρρύνει τη συνεργασία σχολείων από διαφορετικές χώρες. Η συνεργασία αυτή προσφέρει στους συμμετέχοντες την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσουν ο ένας τη χώρα του άλλου, να διερευνήσουν τις διάφορες πολιτισμικές παραμέτρους και τρόπους σκέψης και ζωής, και να κατανοήσουν και να εκτιμήσουν αυτή τη διαφορετικότητα σε επίπεδο κοινωνιών και σε επίπεδο λειτουργίας των εκπαιδευτικών συστημάτων.
Συμμετείχαμε σ' αυτό το πρόγραμμα, επειδή πιστεύουμε πως η ολόπλευρη ανάπτυξη του μαθητή επιτυγχάνεται όχι μόνο με την κατάκτηση της γνώσης μέσα στην αίθουσα, αλλά και με εξωδιδακτικές δραστηριότητες και πως ακόμη το σχολείο μπορεί να παίξει αποφασιστικό ρόλο στην προετοιμασία των νέων για μια συμβίωση σ' έναν κόσμο όπου τα σύνορα όπου τα σύνορα ανάμεσα στους λαούς σταδιακά εξαλείφονται και οι πολιτισμοί αγκαλιάζουν ο ένας τον άλλον. Είναι σημαντικό να μπορούμε να συμβιώνουμε με το διαφορετικό και να χαιρόμαστε έναν κόσμο ειρηνικό που στηρίζεται στον αμοιβαίο σεβασμό και όλοι οι πολίτες του είναι ισότιμοι.
Επιλέξαμε την Ευρωπαϊκή Ταυτότητα ως θέμα του προγράμματος, γιατί θέλαμε να ερευνήσουμε οτιδήποτε επηρεάζει την ταυτότητά μας, από το σχολείο, την οικογένεια,τους φίλους και τα ενδιαφέροντά μας, έως την κουλτούρα, τη γλώσσα, τη θρησκεία και τις παραδόσεισ. Τελικά, να προχωρήσουμε στη χώρα μας, τη φύση, τον καιρό, , τα ζώα τα φυτά και τη μόλυνση του περιβάλλοντος.
Ο βασικός σκοπός που ενίσχυσε τη συνεργασία ήταν να αντιληφθούμε τι κοινό έχουμε. Συνεπώς, να μας δώσει τη δυνατότητα να αναγνωρίσουμε μια ενιαία, κοινή ευρωπαϊκή ταυτότητα.
Στο πλαίσιο της συνεργασίας πραγματοποιήθηκαν τέσσερις εκπαιδευτικές συναντήσεις. Εκπαιδευτικοί του σχολείου μας επισκέφτηκαν τα σχολεία των συνεργατών και το Γυμνάσιο Περάματος τους υποδέχτηκε και τους φιλοξένησε με τη σειρά του. Στις συναντήσεις αυτές όλοι προσπάθησαν να παρουσιάσουν τον πολιτισμό και την κουλτούρα τους.
Οι μαθητές μας αντάλλαξαν γράμματα και εργασίες με τους μαθητές των άλλων σχολείων, ενώ ήρθαν σε επαφή με τους ξένους εκπαιδευτικούς συνεργάτες, όταν αυτοί μας επισκέφτηκαν.. Έτσι δόθηκε η ευκαιρία σε όλους να γνωρίσουν διαφορετικά κοινωνικά και πολιτιστικά πλαίσια και να νιώσουν βαθύτερα το ευρωπαϊκό πνεύμα.
Σε όλη τη διάρκεια του προγράμματος είχαμε την αμέριστη συμπαράσταση του διευθυντή του σχολείου μας. Επιπλέον μας ενίσχυσαν ηθικά και υλικά ο Δήμος Περάματος, ο Οργανισμός Σπηλαίου Περάματος, ο σύλλογος γονέων και κηδεμόνων και η τοπική και εκπαιδευτική κοινότητα. Όλους τους ευχαριστούμε θερμά.
Συμπερασματικά, μπορούμε να πούμε πως η συνεργασία αυτή ήταν ένα ανοιχτό παράθυρο στη γνώση, την εμπειρία, την επικοινωνία και τη φιλία.

The stone bridges of Epirus
Epirus has hundreds of impressive stone bridges, which are reminders of the past. They bring memories of the travellers who were travelling to other parts of Greece and Europe.
They are also symbols of man's struggle to overcome the problems that nature puts in front of him.
Here are some photos and comments of these bridges.
The Bridge of Arta
It is a stone bridge that crosses the Arachthos river near the city of Arta.The bridge became famous from the legentary folk ballad, which is at the core about human sacrifice. The story of the building of that bridge is a romantic story.
In the past the best engineer was called to built the bridge with forty workers. Every morning they built the bridge but every night the bridge fell down. This happened day after day, until the engineer could not stand this any longer. He wanted to give up his job. As he was about to quit, a bird came and spoke to him in human voice. The bird said "if you want the bridge to stand, you must built your wife alive in it. The engineer said "O.K" with a heavy heart. So he pretended that his ring has fallen into the river. His wife said she would go into the river and find it. She did that and when she was in the water, the egineer ordered his workers to throw concrete over his wife and built her in. That way the brdge was built and up today it has never fallen down.
A student of the third grade of Perama High School, was inspired by the myth about the sacrifice of the engineer's wife and painted this work.
The bridge of Kaberaga
It spans the Zagorisios river. It is a single arched bridge and its name is taken from Kaber-Aga, who gave the money to built it.
The bridge of Kleidonia
It is a traditional bridge at Voidomatis river near the village of Kleidonia.
The bridge of Konitsa
It is built over the river Aoos. This single- arched bridge is 20 m high and 40 m long and was built in 1870 by the craftman Ziogas Frontzos, using money donated by all villagers, both Cristians and Muslims.
The brdge of Plaka
It is the widwst stone-made bridge of Epirus and probably of Greece. With its impressive 40-meters-wide arch it stands some 18 to 20 meters above the waters of Arachthos river. It also has two small auxiliary 6-meters arches on its two sides. The bridge's conrtruction was completed in 1866 but before that it had collapsed twicw during the bulding works, in 1860 and 1863. It stands on the border-line of Prefectures of Arta and Ioannina.
The Bridge of Plakidas or Kalogeriko
It is a great three-arched dridge, that impresses one with its symmetry. It is near the village Kipi and joins Vico's banks. It was built in 1814 by Serafim, a monk in the monastery of Profitis Ilias in Vitsa, under whom, it tooks the name. It was reconstructed in 1865 by Alexis Plakidas.
The bridge og Vovousa
It is a single arched bridge, built in 1743. It joins the riverbanks of Aoos river and makes communication easier for the people. The bridge is a starting point for kayak-lovers .
The bridge of Theogefyro
Close to Lithino village one can find the natural bridge over Kalamas river. It is about 20 meters high.
The Noutsou Bridge or Kokorou
It was built in 1750 by Noutsos Kontodimos. It is a big single-arched bridge over Vikos river. It is also named Kokorou after the owner of a nearby mill, who took care of repare.

Comenius meeting in Perama-Ioanninon-Greece
The fourth meeting of our Comenius project was held during October (18-23) in Perama-Ioanninon. Twelve teachers from Germany, Greenlad, Spain and Turkey met there.

We evaluated the work done up to now and discussed what activities we intend to do next
We showed our partners round the school and classroms. In addition, our students had some lessons with the foreign teachers. It was a great experience for them.
In a special ceremony at school the comenius teachers were welcomed by the Head of the second education office in Ioannina, the Principal, the School advisor and the Deputy mayior.
Mereover, the students recited poems from the involved countries in the project, sang greek songs and danced greek traditional dances.
During their stay in Ioannina our guests had the opportunity to know the city of Ioannina and its history and to visit interesting places as: Dodoni theater, the Island in Pamvotis Lake, the Perama cave,the traditional villages Zagorochoria, the old stone bridge (Kokkoru) and the canyon of Vicos.
We also made a day trip to the island of Kerkyra (Corfu)
Comenius teachers had also a meeting with the deputy mayors.
We, the students and the teachers of the High School of Perama-Ioanninon ( Greece), wish to thank all the teachers from Germany, Greenland, Spain and Turkey for the five memorable days we had with them.

The myth of Europe
From 1st January 2002on, we have keen introduced to the Euro. The Euro was named after Europe. Yet who was Europe?
Long, long ago, when the continent of Europe had not been named, there lived a pretty young woman, Europa. Europa was the only daughter of Phoenician’s king Aginora. Her mother was Tilephasa. (Phoenicia was an ancient region in the Middle East, corresponding to modern Libanon, with adjoining parts of Syria and Israel).
Europa and her friends used to go for a walk to the shore of Tiro’s. One day, as they were playing at that place, appeared a white beautiful bull. The princess struck by the beauty of this pretty creature and since he was meek, she started playing with him. In time she felt comfortable enough with the bull to climb upon his back for a ride.
All of a sudden, the bull threw himself at the waves and started swimming, carrying the girl with him. They crossed the water together and arrived eventually at the island of Crete. Upon arriving in Crete the bull revealed his identity. He was the ruller of Olympian gods, Zeus, who transformed himself into a bull, in order to fool Europa during the abduction.
After this she was directed to a palace and there she became a queen. She lived a happy life and bore three sons, two of whom, Minoas and Rodamanthis, became famous and lived beyond this life to be judges of souls in the kingdom of Hades.
It is worth mentioning that the bull that stars in this myth was transformed into the constellation of Taurus.-------------------------------------------------------------
